Chris Osgood, PhD
President & CEO
Chris Osgood has over 35 years-experience in the health care industry, and prior to coming to Spruce Health Group, he was the Vice President of Finance with Medicomp Inc. and Chief Financial Officer for Summit Community Care Clinic, a federally qualified health center. Prior to that role, he was Chief Financial Officer for Mountain View Medical Group, a physician-owned private practice for many years. Chris has been instrumental in strategic planning, process improvements, financial analysis, forecasting, and budget administration. His other areas of expertise are revenue cycle management and project controllership.
Chris received a bachelor’s degree from Plymouth State University where he concentrated in business management and mathematics. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver and a PhD in Health Policy Management from Harvard Universities T.H. Chan school of public health where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. To further his education, he received a human resources certification from Bentley University and an advanced master certification in Six Sigma Lean Black Belt, health care designation, from Villanova University.
Chris Osgood is a certified health financial professional with the Health Financial Management Association, and he received a managed health care professional designation with the Health Insurance Association of America. Chris has received many awards for outstanding service during his career including the Super Max award for New Business Development, the Presidential Award for Exemplary Service, and Employee of the Year for Medicare Implementation. He was also on the Community Health Partners Advisory Committee and received community service recognition for two consecutive years for service and leadership.
